Step-by-Step: Style Your Picture Ledge in 30 Minutes
Step 1: Mount the Ledge (10 mins)
Find your ideal wall spot — a focal point like above a sofa or sideboard works brilliantly. Use a spirit level to mark two mounting points, then screw the Harmony Ledge brackets into place. The solid white oak ledge clips on easily. That's it — your ledge is installed.
Step 2: Anchor with Your Hero Frame (5 mins)
Start with your largest frame — we love the 50×70cm Nordic Oak as the anchor piece. Place it roughly one-third from the left (or wherever your eye naturally falls first). This becomes the visual foundation of your composition.
Step 3: Layer Mid-Size Frames (5 mins)
Add a 30×40cm frame beside the hero piece, leaning it slightly. The trick is to vary the heights — some frames standing, some slightly tilted. This layered, casual look is far more interesting than perfect symmetry.
Step 4: Fill with Accents (5 mins)
An A4 frame with a botanical print, a postcard from a favourite trip, or a small piece of abstract art — add these to fill any gaps and bring personality. Don't overthink it. The beauty of a ledge is that there's no wrong answer.
Step 5: Step Back & Adjust (5 mins)
